Children Who Died In Flat Blaze Named

A five-year-old girl who died in a fire at a block of flats has been named by police.

Farah Rashid's body was found by firefighters in her third-floor home in St John's Wood, north-west London.

Her brother, Mohamad, 13, died after jumping from a window as flames ripped through the property at about 3am on Thursday.
Mohamad was taken to St Mary's Hospital in nearby Paddington but he later died of his injuries.
Two other brothers, aged 12 and 15, were taken to hospital along with their father, Walid Majid, 44.
All three remain in hospital where their condition is improving.
Their mother, Samira Khan, was staying with relatives on the night of the fire.
A relative, Kamal Majid, 32, was arrested at the scene after trying to force his way through a police cordon but since been released on bail.

Emergency services were confronted with an intense blaze when they arrived at the property in Elmton Court, Cunningham Place.
Neighbours and firefighters helped to rescue three people from the property.
The Iraqi Kurd family apparently moved to the flat several months ago. They are thought to have previously lived in Holland.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said post-mortem examinations would take place in the near future, and the fire is being treated as "non-suspicious".
He said: "It is too early to confirm a cause of the fire - inquiries by police and the London Fire Brigade are under way."
